Think Green is a youth-led environmental movement from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We plant trees, clean beaches, and work with schools so young people can look after the places they live.
How it started
Think Green began as a small student club picking up litter in Dar es Salaam. It has grown into a community movement where young people, children, women, and whole neighbourhoods plant, clean, and learn together.
The name is what we ask of everyone: think of the environment as home, then act like it.

- Planted trees with students in school eco clubs across Dar es Salaam.
- Cleaned beaches along the Dar es Salaam coast and sorted what we collected.
- Held the Think Green Environmental Festival in 2024.
- Brought young changemakers together at Eco-Leaders Rise 2025.
- Were nominated Environmental Champion at the TEYA Awards.
- Worked with Global Platform Tanzania, Climate Fresk Tanzania, and Africa for SDGs.
